Hi guys. The great things about me are that I love to cuddle. I’m completely house trained. I’m crate trained too! I stay in one when my foster mom is at work. And sometimes that is for a long time, but I am very patient. I’m also a very good listener. I like to play fetch and have very good manners returning the ball. I like to go for car rides. When leash walking regularly I do pretty well. I am friendly with cats and other dogs of all sizes, yet not a fan of overly bossy dogs. Because of the way some people treated me in my other life, I am looking for a special person who will always help me manage my emotions when I get nervous and make sure I don’t get myself into trouble. I get nervous when I’m in the yard and someone I don’t know comes near. But I can meet that person in a controlled introduction inside the house and be friends. And I do get a little nervous if there is a commotion inside, for instance other dogs in the house barking (like when the Amazon guy comes). I think I will always need help with these things so I am hoping to find a home where they will care enough about me to keep me safe. Also, due to my mistreatment as a young dog, I take a daily medication for my bladder. My foster mom loves me but thinks I deserve a home where I will have a lot more attention and a lot less crate time. She thinks the perfect home will be quiet, not a lot of traffic. No small children. Older children ok if they can be responsible at all times with my needs. Another dog would probably be ok if I think they will be a good playmate and not bossy. And I would really like it if they are not a barker. I need a fenced yard- so I can play and be safe. If I’m in a neighborhood it should be a privacy fence. And I need someone who is comfortable helping me when I’m nervous because I am strong, but easily managed.
