Volunteer Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines the behavior expected of anyone participating in a Toledo’s PET Bull Project event or representing the organization—including board members, trainers, and volunteers. It exists for everyone’s safety and to ensure our mission is reflected in all interactions.

As a volunteer, you are a direct reflection of our mission:

Treat all trainers, volunteers, and attendees with respect at all times.
Treat all dogs with respect—mistreatment of any dog will not be tolerated.
Refrain from swearing or using obscene language.
Do not use headphones, iPads, cell phones, or other electronic devices during events.
Maintain a professional, non-judgmental demeanor toward others.
Present yourself neatly and cleanly; wear a Toledo’s PET Bull Project t-shirt at events.
Follow through on tasks you agree to complete.
TPBP Representatives may dismiss any participant or dog acting in an unacceptable or disruptive manner.
Keep your dog with you and away from other participants’ dogs at all times during events.

Acknowledgement:
I have read and understand the Code of Conduct and agree to follow it. I understand that dog-related activities carry inherent risks, and by following this Code I will help limit those risks for myself, my dog, and others.

WAIVER, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT [Adult Volunteer]

The undersigned ____________________ (“Participant”) does hereby acknowledge that:

In consideration for honoring my participation with Toledo’s PET Bull Project, I, for myself, my executors, administrators, and assigns, do hereby release and forever discharge Toledo’s Pet Bull Project, Inc., its Board, trainers, administrators, members, employees, agents, students and volunteers who arranged, advised or supervised the scheduling or any other function of this activity from any claims, including claims of negligence, that I might have myself or could bring on my behalf with regard to damages, demands, or any actions whatsoever, including those based on negligence, in any manner arising out of my participation in this activity.

I understand that by signing this agreement I would ultimately bear the loss if I should successfully sue and recover damages from the Toledo’s Pet Bull Project, Inc and/or its board, trainers, administrators, members, employees, agents, students and/or volunteers.

I have read this entire agreement to release and indemnify Toledo’s Pet Bull Project, Inc and/or its board, trainers, administrators, members, employees, agents, students and volunteers, I fully understand it, and I agree to be legally bound by it.

The undersigned, being the parent and/or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) of (“Participant”) does hereby acknowledge that. In consideration for honoring my child’s request to participate in the above activity, I, for myself, my executors, administrators, and assigns, do hereby release and forever discharge Toledo’s Pet Bull Project, Inc., its Board, trainers, administrators, members, employees, agents, students and volunteers who arranged, advised or supervised the scheduling or any other function of this activity from any claims, including claims of negligence, that I might have myself or could bring on my child’s behalf with regard to damages, demands, or any actions whatsoever, including those based on negligence, in any manner arising out of my child’s participation in this activity.

I also hereby agree to save, hold harmless, and indemnify Toledo’s Pet Bull Project, Inc and/or its board, trainers, administrators, members, employees, agents, students and volunteers against any and all claims, including claims of negligence, which my child might bring against them as a result of his/her participation in the above activity.

Confidentiality Policy For Volunteers and Board Members

Respecting the privacy of our clients, donors, members, volunteers and of Toledo’s PET Bull Project itself is a basic value of Toledo’s PET Bull Project. Personal and financial information is confidential and should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone without permission or authorization from the Director of Toledo’s PET Bull Project. Care shall also be taken to ensure that unauthorized individuals do not overhear any discussion of confidential information and those documents containing confidential information are not left in the open or inadvertently shared.

Volunteers and board members of Toledo’s PET Bull Project may be exposed to information which is confidential and/or privileged and proprietary in nature. It is the policy of Toledo’s PET Bull Project that such information must be kept confidential both during and after volunteer service. Volunteers, including board members, are expected to return materials containing privileged or confidential information at the time of separation from volunteering or expiration of service.

Unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal.

Certification

I have read Toledo’s PET Bull Project’s policy on confidentiality presented above. I agree to abide by the requirements of the policy and inform the Director Toledo’s PET Bull Project immediately if I believe any violation (unintentional or otherwise) of the policy has occurred. I understand that violation of this policy will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of my service with Toledo’s PET Bull Project.

Pet Safety Waiver

I hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in activities conducted by the Pet Bull Project. I am aware that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in activities with and around dogs, and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of these potential dangers. I am not relying Pet Bull Project to prevent such occurrences. In order to participate in dog training classes or other activities, I, being fully informed of such risks and hazards, agree to assume all risks of such occurrences. I hereby waive any and all claims or actions that I or my guardians, representatives or assigns may have from any and all personal injury to myself, my dog, children in my charge, or harm to property caused directly or indirectly by acts that might occur in dog training classes or other activities.

I also agree to assume sole responsibility for injury or damage caused by myself, children in my charge, or by the dog I own or handle and further agree to indemnify, defend and hold the instructors, trainers and assistants, harmless from any damage, loss, liability or expense, including legal cost and attorney's fees, which result from damage caused by myself, children in my charge, or by the dog I own or handle.

Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines the conduct required of any participant attending a Toledo's PETBull Project event and any individual representing Toledo’s PET Bull Project including board members, trainers, and volunteers.This code is provided for everyone's safety.Each person bound by this Code of Conduct will read, agree to, abide by and sign the Code when it is enacted.

As a volunteer for Toledo’s PET Bull Project you will be a direct reflection of our mission.

1.Treat everyone; trainers, volunteers and attendees with respect at all times.

2.Treat all dogs with respect; no mistreatment of any dog will be tolerated.

3.No swearing or obscene language.

4.No headphones, I pads, cell phones or other electronic device usage while attending events.

5.TPBP representatives will always maintain a professional demeanor and remain non-judgmental of others.

6.TPBP representatives should be neat and clean and wear a Toledo PET Bull Project t-shirt at events.

7.You are expected to follow through if you are asked to do something and agree to do it.

8.TPBP representatives reserve the right to dismiss any participant or dog that is acting in an unacceptable manner or disrupting any event/class.

9.While attending any event, you are to keep your dog with you and away from all other participants at all times.

I have read and understand the above Code and agree to abide by it. I realize that by participating in a dog related activity there may be inherent risks and by following the above Code I will be limiting those risks for me and dog.
