Volunteer Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines the behavior expected of anyone participating in a Toledo’s PET Bull Project event or representing the organization—including board members, trainers, and volunteers. It exists for everyone’s safety and to ensure our mission is reflected in all interactions.

As a volunteer, you are a direct reflection of our mission:

  1. Treat all trainers, volunteers, and attendees with respect at all times.

  2. Treat all dogs with respect—mistreatment of any dog will not be tolerated.

  3. Refrain from swearing or using obscene language.

  4. Do not use headphones, iPads, cell phones, or other electronic devices during events.

  5. Maintain a professional, non-judgmental demeanor toward others.

  6. Present yourself neatly and cleanly; wear a Toledo’s PET Bull Project t-shirt at events.

  7. Follow through on tasks you agree to complete.

  8. TPBP Representatives may dismiss any participant or dog acting in an unacceptable or disruptive manner.

  9. Keep your dog with you and away from other participants’ dogs at all times during events.

Acknowledgement:
I have read and understand the Code of Conduct and agree to follow it. I understand that dog-related activities carry inherent risks, and by following this Code I will help limit those risks for myself, my dog, and others.
