Step 3. Review Code of Conduct and Sign Forms
Volunteer Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines the behavior expected of anyone participating in a Toledo’s PET Bull Project event or representing the organization—including board members, trainers, and volunteers. It exists for everyone’s safety and to ensure our mission is reflected in all interactions.

As a volunteer, you are a direct reflection of our mission:
- Treat all trainers, volunteers, and attendees with respect at all times.
- Treat all dogs with respect—mistreatment of any dog will not be tolerated.
- Refrain from swearing or using obscene language.
- Do not use headphones, iPads, cell phones, or other electronic devices during events.
- Maintain a professional, non-judgmental demeanor toward others.
- Present yourself neatly and cleanly; wear a Toledo’s PET Bull Project t-shirt at events.
- Follow through on tasks you agree to complete.
- TPBP Representatives may dismiss any participant or dog acting in an unacceptable or disruptive manner.
- Keep your dog with you and away from other participants’ dogs at all times during events.
Acknowledgement: I have read and understand the Code of Conduct and agree to follow it. I understand that dog-related activities carry inherent risks, and by following this Code I will help limit those risks for myself, my dog, and others.
